Coincidence

The other day when Shaheen and I went to Sammy's Camera to pick up the equipment for the music video, we where talking about car accidents.

I had mentioned that a couple years ago, I was driving on the highway and was nearly crushed by an airborne mini tractor trailer that had careened off the road on the opposite side of the highway and had pitchforked over our car and crashed behind us (dad and sister). It was probably the scariest thing I have ever experienced, although at the time, I had remained completely calm and didn't flinch as I watched it happen.

Then Shaheen had mentioned an accident he was in while in college where he watched the person behind him crash into the back of his car as he was stopped at a light, sending the car full of TVs and VHS players hurling forward. We then agreed that both of us where very lucky to be okay after those near horrible accidents.

Coincidentally, a couple hours after talking about that, we were stopped at a traffic light and I was staring at this car across the intersection, it hadn't registered what was happening, and it wasn't until several seconds after staring that I gasped and pointed at the accident in front of us.

Luckily this girl was able to get out of the wreck through the sunroof.




I had managed to snap a few pictures before the light had turned green for us. It was extra eerie because it was before any emergency crews had managed to make it to the scene. An almost apocalyptic scene. Especially in LA when you're never really sure whether or not the things you see are real or a set in a movie.

We are still not sure how she managed to do this.
